Black Friday 2016

It's not really our thing, it was always tough when we had the retail outlet when customers would come in and gripe that our sales weren't big enough.

Now I don't bother, Monkdeth is a small brand about fun, we hope that loyal customers and new customers see through the commercialism
of Black Friday and buy our products because they like em.

Thanks for all who support us!  Customers, Friends, Family, & Shops!

My Thoughts on our 2016 Presidential Election as Published on Facebook this evening.

I always enjoy discussing and debating politics, people are usually surprised at my political stance. After 2012 I stopped with FB political posts for the most part aside from the occasional meme etc. This was because although I enjoy debate, you can't debate ideologues on social media. It is best in person. I didn't like the way the votes went in 2008 or 2012, but I didn't protest in the streets. I quietly turned to my wife and told her what would happen in 2016. She can tell you I was right. As the 2016 election cycle carried on, I kept quiet unless asked, I carried my support for the candidate that was best for my family, my country, and my future. I laughed as the media got it wrong throughout and missed the obvious, full stadiums didn't match up with polls. People weren't bought by Trump with impressive pop culture icons. People who were forgotten by globalization finally has someone who listened. Do you know how many factories my feet have walked in the Midwest that are now empty? This is what drove people out yesterday.
Trump gave a great acceptance speech, Hillary followed with her speech this morning - I have seen silly comments and hashtags all day. Yes I still laugh at the memes - but seriously folks let's get together, work hard, and make America great again!

Pepe Caldo's - Pizza & Skateboards

Michael and Charity run Pepe Caldo's Pizza on Ironwood in Coeur d'Alene Idaho.  The pizza is amazing.  The Texarkana Hannah is one of the best pizza creations I ever tasted.

But there is more to this story - they sell skateboards too.

Yes, you can go in, order a pizza, pick out a deck while you wait, chow down and then skate out the door.  No way you say.  Way.

And they are super cool as well.  I never met someone as passionate about skateboards as I am.

Did I mention they also now carry Monkdeth?  You can always get the latest from Streetplant.  There are old school decks that move in and out.

So seriously, to wrap this up, great pizza, great skate goods, great friends.

Support Skateboarding. Support those that do.

Open Tuesday through Sat, 5pm - - >

Does anyone still blog?

I started this blog way back when because I thought I needed to.  Not really understanding why. Now I find it a way to jog down thoughts like a journal, you know get it out, maybe read it later.

Do people still use blogs? I find myself on others but are most people today using social media instead of blogging?

As mentioned previously, my team in my MBA class had to create a blog to record project status and updates, you can find the link below.  It has given me new insight to blogging.

so much to do, some of it never gets done....

Starting to think about the 2017 plunge.  Lots going on with school and day job as well as peddling Monkdeths.

Just realized I should rip through the links on the side of this blog....  Valid links off the monkdeth page itself, just not sure about here.

What is going on with all of my readers?  Last night the sky looked rad and I can't stop loving the new Indy x Vol 4 stuff.

New Blog for School

Homer say what?  My school team came up with a blog and I got the ground running.

This is for a lean startup class in the MBA program at the University of Idaho.  I snuck in a Monkdeth logo.

Spokane isn't San Pedro

"Double nickels on the dime" has to be one of my favorite records of all time - "the minutemen", outside the box thinkers, not your typical punk rock made this masterpiece.  With D Boon's passing they are long gone, but Spokane's Bullets or Balloons play as if the spirit of D Boon lives on!  Fast changing, high intensity.  Check them out the next time you can.  We were introduced to them by our good friends Bird Fight.

Support the Indy music, it is from the heart!
