Klunker build

Been wanting to build a bike and since I took interest in klunkers(the old seventies original downhill bikes coming back thanks to Transition Bikes) I'm thinking about building one.

In the meantime, attached below is the original monkdeth klunker, my 92 Trek 830 and one of the Transition retro models.

Favorite super villain?

Wake skate season is on....

Hooked up with a few coworkers for a few wakeskate Sesh'over the past couple of weeks.  Looks like we will take pulls every week throughout summer.... Yeah it is on!

Monkdeth BMX racing 2013

Well, it's official, Monkdeth is sponsoring a BMX race team for the USABMX 2013 Season. Our local track will be Cherry Hill BMX in CDA Idaho.

I always wanted to race, but wasn't allowed to when I was young. I enjoyed BMX from race to the birth of freestyle in the 80's before I found my love of skateboarding. The 90's saw me return to biking as I got into recreational mountain biking. Upon getting my 2009 SE so-cal Flyer cruiser, I had the urge to race. Moving here in late 2012, George and I started fooling around at Cherry Hill. Two weeks ago we signed up and are official. Look for us!

Analog Transpose review - thumbs up!

It's been a while since I spent money on new snow gear. Being that I take care of it and spent 3 years owning a shop, I have a lot of good stuff. I always wanted an all wether hoodie and this year I spent some coin on buying a new seasonal leftover analog transpose hoodie.

I love this thing, stash pocket in arm for my snot rag, zipped pockets for phone cash etc, great fit hoodie with zip up neck.

How does it handle? Wore it on a 30 degree day over a hoodie and thermal and was just fine. Never got wet, never stunk. Will continue to try it out but I highly recommend it!

Skate season is coming

Bike build?

Although winter isn't done, I keep thinking about doing a spring MTN BMX build. Some kind of 26 inch ride, maybe a black market like pictured below.

Once the weather hits, it will be cycle to work and back. It will be nice to swap between my SoCal Flyer and this possible future build.

The SoCal Flyer will also be geared up for spring racing at Cherry Hill BMX.

Ahhhhhh living the dream.

No I'm not watching the walking dead, I live the zombie apocalypse and I am not an armchair jockey.

As you see, I have been trying to keep this blog filled with new posts and provide plenty of material to Monkdeth and Pierowski fans from all over the world.

Big blizzard back east where we are from, dry January in North Idaho where we are, planning a mini vacation in spring, and other road trips for summer.

Still trying to sell off excess goods. Check ebay for the latest, also email me if you are interested in spawn action figures, plenty to go up for sale.

Politicians are still trying for our guns, in the past I kept politics out of the blog, but allowing citizens to be armed is what protects our freedom, everything will fall if they take our guns.

Zombie Apocalypse

Most people ask, what's with the zombies? Do you believe they exist? Are you prepared?

No I don't watch the walking dead. Yes I do watch zombie films and enjoy zombie art.

I use the term zombie apocalypse figuratively to prepare for the future disaster.

Based on the economy and lack of responsible individuals out there the world will get ugly. As a self reliant individual you must be prepared. I have been preparing since George Romero 's zombie movies.

In the meantime, I'll still skate, snowskate, snowboard, and bicycle to keep fit and have fun while I wait for the zombies.

I recommend that my readers stay fit, create a buyout bag, and keep aware of political, social, and local issues. Stay aware, free, and self reliant.
